Taxis and subways in Paris
Taxis
In order to get a taxi in Paris, you must wait at a taxi line, or we can call one for you at the front desk (there is an additional 4 to 7 euros extras for the pick up).
You can also use private services such as Uber or Bolt. Although usually cheaper (about 10-15%), they can be unreliable (cancel, or leave without notice).
Taxis are more reliable, so we recommend them especially to go to the airport. The rates to go to the airports by taxi are fixed by law.
As of January 1st 2024, it costs 55€ to go to Charles de Gaulle airport, and 41€ for Orly airport (to which you must add the 4-7€ extras for the pick up).
Subways/Metro
To take the subway, you have different options depending on the amount of travels you are planning to do, whether you will stay in Paris only, etc… On this link you will find the different options you can choose from : https://www.ratp.fr/titres-et-tarifs
The RATP (public agency which manage the subway system) has made an application to buy trips and charge up your pass, get suggestions on the best roads available, various traffic informations and updates, etc…
Closest Parking
The closest parking garage from our hotel is about 5 min walk, and is called the Parking Rome Batignolles.
For the exact pricing, as well as to book your spot on advance, you can always check this link: https://www.effia.com/parking/parking-paris-rome-batignolles-effia
Room service
During breakfast hours, from 7am until 10am, you can have breakfast or any hot drinks delivered to your room, at no additional cost.
During the rest of the day, you can get hot drinks such as coffee or tea downstairs at the front desk.
We can also boil water for you at the front desk. We put at your disposal thermos, so that you can bring hot/boiling water up to your room if needed.
Laundry services & ironing
Laundromat & Pressing
In the hotel street you will find both a laundromat and a pressing service.
The laundromat is located at the 19, rue de Constantinople and is opened every day from 7am until 10pm.
The pressing is at the 21, rue de Constantinople and is opened from 8am until 7pm (but is closed on Sunday and Monday).
Iron and ironing board
The hotel has at your disposal several irons and an iron board. You can come at the front desk and pick them up if needed.
Health-Sport-Safety
Health
Close-by Pharmacy (5min walk) is called Pharmacie de la Terrasse. It is located at the 35, rue de Lévis. Opened 9am until 8pm (closed on Sunday).
For any concern you may have, please let us know and the front desk will assist you (directions for the closest ER, calling a doctor to come visit you at the hotel, etc…)
Sport
For jogging amateurs, there is the Parc Monceau close-by, where parisian come to run in the morning.
There is also a fitness and musculation gym nearby, called Keep Cool Paris 8 Monceau. For more informations, please check : https://www.keepcool.fr/s/salle-de-sport-paris-8-monceau
Safety
Generally speaking, Paris is a safe city. However there can be pickpockets, especially in crowded or touristic areas (subway, touristic spots,…). We recommend you keep your purse/belongings in front of you.
Pickpockets tend to make a diversion, such as starting an argument, making noises, etc… anything that could bring someone’s attention away from their valuables. If you witness something unsual, the best is to keep walking and not pay attention.
We also advise you to keep your IDS/passport in your room’s safe, since they are the most troublesome elements to replace on short notice.
Check-out
Check-out time is 11am. For faster check-out in the morning, you can also settle your bill the evening before.
If needed, you can store your lugagees at the front desk (for no additional cost).
If you wish to leave your room later, please check with the front desk and eventually we will be able to let you stay longer up until 12am (if your room is not sold and that’s not guarantee).
